Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit (ドラゴンボールZ バーストリミット, DoragonbōruZetto Bāsuto Rimitto?) is a video game based off the popular anime/manga series Dragon Ball Z and is being released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It was announced in Shonen Jump magazine on December 12, 2007. The developer for the game is Namco Bandai The game is confirmed to have a story mode, spanning from the beginning of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Cell Saga. There are also going to be what if scenarios in the game, much like some of the previous games. It is also suggested that characters from the original Dragonball will have a story mode. On December 24th, 2007, a PV trailer was released. The gameplay shown in the video showcases moves much like those of the Dragon Ball Z Budokai game series, and those of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai , demonstrating that the gameplay will be 2D, unlike the Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi game series which used an over the shoulder camera perspective. At the Taipei Game Show 2008, the game was shown to utilize in-fight cutscenes in an effort to make the game as true to the anime as possible.
